Wymondham in Bloom aims to bring the community together with the common goal of brightening the Town centre with flowers for all to enjoy.

 

Our volunteers work with businesses and residents on the main streets in town to decorate their front entrances with hanging baskets and creative floral displays. We are also thankful to The White Hart and Green Dragon pubs who have supported the project for 2024 by generously agreeing to be our Gold Sponsor.  Wymondham Garden Centre are also generously supporting the business floral display competition!

AIB: In 2019, for the first time, Town Team registered Wymondham to be part of 

Anglia in Bloom, our regional edition of the RHS Britain in Bloom campaign. 

That first year the results were extraordinary with three trophies and an overall Silver Gilt achieved. In 2022 we were just two points off a Gold award. In 2023 we finally got our Gold award, having gone above and beyond with the volunteers weeding and sweeping the town centre with gusto!

Our theme for 2024 is Flower Power, in honour of the 60th anniversary of the RHS Britain in Bloom campaign. We hope participants will be inspired to dig out their swinging 60s style for a groovy summer display. 

 

BUSINESSES:   At the bottom of this page is the sign up form for businesses wanting to get involved by decorating their shop fronts with flowers and plants. The floral display competition judging will take place in July (exact date TBD) for the businesses opting in as competitors. *Please note judging is optional, you can still get involved in the campaign without being a judged competitor.
